Defining OTT Webinar Series

All indications are that Over-the-Top (OTT) video services will attract larger audiences, be delivered at higher bit rates, and provide viewers with more entertainment options than ever before, all of which can further complicate your already complex media strategy.

Please join me on Wednesday, December 9th at 2PM ET/11AM PT as we define and discuss the rapidly shifting OTT 2.0 landscape. Whether you've already launched a new OTT service or you're still exploring where you fit in, I'd like to share strategies for helping you win in this increasingly competitive market.

The in-depth presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session. I look forward to your participation!

Big Game Meets Big Expectations

NBC Sports Digital's live stream of the Super Bowl last Sunday didn't disappoint; records were broken on the field and online. Tom Brady set Super Bowl records for most completions in a game and most career touchdown passes. Meanwhile, NBC Sports Live Extra averaged a Super Bowl record-breaking 800,000 viewers per minute and peak of 1.3 million concurrent users across desktops and tablets.

Behind the Live Stream of Super Bowl XLIX

For content distribution of its live stream of Super Bowl XLIX, NBC Sports Digital has again turned to Akamai to help deliver the online experience through its NBC Sports Live Extra streaming service. Live events and live sports are not unfamiliar to us at Akamai. We just wrapped up 2014 with record traffic and viewership for multi-day events including the Winter Olympics and the World Cup.
