The Human Element of Our Ubisoft Case Study

For a couple of reasons, I'm pleased to share this video and case study showing how Ubisoft is working with Akamai to enhance their player experience and streamline game development. Have a look to learn how the publisher of hugely successful titles such as Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Just Dance and many others is addressing rising customer expectations for fast downloads and gameplay, as well as mitigating the challenges that come with globally dispersed development teams. It's pretty cool stuff.

I never thought I'd describe a customer video as poignant, but to me, this one is. We taped these interviews at Ubisoft's headquarters in Paris during what turned out to be just a few hours before the November terrorist attacks. The account rep and I were having dinner with Kevin and Pascal, who you'll see in the video, when the restaurant owner alerted us to what was going on less than a mile away. I'll always be grateful to them for helping us navigate out of the area and convincing a taxi driver to take us to our hotel across town - not an easy thing to do at that time - before going home to their own families.

Hopefully the video and case study give you a new perspective on how interesting organizations are working with Akamai. With any luck, knowing the back story will put a human face to some of the technology that goes into enjoying some of your favorite games.
