Speaking of NAB ...

Experts from Akamai's Media & Entertainment team will be participating in a host of conference panels, partner workshops and in-booth presentations during the 2015 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
As part of the session, "Streaming HD Sports Video to Second Screens via Cloud," Will Law, Akamai's chief architect for media engineering, will discuss how sports broadcasters can leverage the cloud to deliver live events in radically new ways. Part of NAB's Media Management in the Cloud Conference, the session takes place Wednesday, April 15, from 3:15 - 4 PM in LVCC Room S219.

The same afternoon, Akamai CTO for media, John Bishop, will help wrap up NAB's Online Video Conference during the session, "Online Video Next: Exploring the Big Trends." Running from 4 - 4:50 PM in LVCC room N249, the session will examine the major trends that are expected to power the online video industry over the next five years.

Shawn Michels, a senior product manager at Akamai, will join Irdeto, one of our digital media partners, for the workshop, "Strategies for Secure OTT Video in a Multiscreen World," Tuesday, April 14, from 1 - 3 PM at the Wynn. The event is designed to help network operators and content owners understand how to manage multiscreen OTT video service deployments for the long term, to minimize TCO while maximizing scalability and flexibility.

We're also hosting a full series of presentations in the theater section of the Akamai booth (SL3325) over the course of NAB that will feature Akamai subject matter experts, partners and customers. Stop by the booth the check out the most up-to-date schedule.
