The final speaker list and agenda have yet to be finalized, but plenty of details are now available regarding BSides Boston 2014. Those details are below. As for the final agenda, stay tuned for that after the call for papers period closes March 31.

About that call for papers: Recommended talks include and are not only limited to: information security, privacy, law, health medical device security, NSA surveillance, SCADA, forensics, malware analysis, new technology, exploits, vulnerabilities, application security, opensource tools, new security research, robotics, drones, phone signals, cryptography, military technologies, APT, threat intelligence, hardware hacking, reverse engineering, lockpicking, physical security, new to information security etc. Organizers are looking for new ideas that are out of the box that stimulate interests that also allows for the opportunity for new presenters and viewpoints. When tweeting about the call for papers, use the hashtag #bsidesboscfp.

The call for challenges for the Capture The Flag (CTF) contest is now open. Details here. When tweeting about Capture the Flag, use the hashtag #bsidesbosctf.

Basic information:

When: Friday, May 9, (noon-6pm) and Saturday, May 10, (9am-6pm)

Why: Expand information and cyber security communication and expand the security community. Over 250+ students, technologists and information security professionals participated last year. 

Where: Microsoft New England Research & Development Center (NERD), near Kendall/MIT, in Cambridge, MA

Cost: $20 (This is to cover the cost of pre-ordering food and swag, ensure that you come and that money will be used for the conference activities and #bsidesbos items.)
